Dr. Haitao Liu earned his B.S. in 2001 from the University of Science and Technology of China and his Ph.D. in 2007 from the University of California at Berkeley. He is currently a postdoctoral fellow at Columbia University. During his Ph.D. research, he focused on the synthesis and assembly of group II-VI semiconductor nanocrystals. In particular, he carried out the first mechanistic study on the synthesis of group II-VI semiconductor nanocrystals. His current research interests are: reaction chemistry of graphene, mass transport in carbon nanotube, and chemical and biological sensor based on carbon materials.
