The National Nanotechnology Initiative (NNI) is holding a series of workshops stretching into March 2010 to assess the state of ongoing nanotechnology-related Envrionmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) research. The second of the four-workshop series being publicly offered by the NNI, Nanomaterials and the Environment & Instrumentation, Metrology and Analytical Methods will take place on October 6-7 in Arlington, Virginia.
This event will bring together over thirty well-known experts in ecosystems and fate and transport to discuss and share their knowledge on the state-of-the-art in these two vital resarch tracks.
The goals of this event are to:
- evaluate the scientific progress with regard to the NNI's Strategy for Nanotechnology-Related EHS Resesarch
- build dialog and strengthen collaborations
- discuss next steps for the NNI EHS Strategy.
