The Oak Ridge National Laboratory’s Center for Nanophase Materials Science (CNMS) is seeking proposals for user-initiated nanoscience research. Deadline for submission is October 2, 2009.

The CNMS provides users with access to facilities and expertise for nanomaterials design, synthesis, and characterization. The CNMS also offers simulation and modeling capabilities for experimental nanoscience research that will greatly advance the understanding of nanoscale phenomena.

Scientifically high-impact proposals are sought for the following:

  • Macromolecular Nanomaterials
  • Multiscale Functionality
  • Scanning Probes
  • Nanomaterials Theory Institute
  • Nanofabrication Research Laboratory
  • Bio-inspired Materials

A complete list of capabilities, the user proposal form, and proposal instructions are all available from the CNMS website.
