Call for Posters: Nano Risk Analysis II Workshop

Written by:

A Workshop to Explore How a Multiple Models Approach Can Advance Risk Analysis of Nanoscale Materials

Washington, DC

September 15-16, 2014

You are invited to submit abstracts for posters to be presented at the Nano Risk Analysis II workshop in Washington D.C. on September 15th and 16th. This poster session is an opportunity to share your research with experts from around the globe in nanomaterial risk analysis and regulation.

The Nano Risk Analysis II workshop seeks to elaborate shared strengths and gaps in support of a Weight of Evidence (WOE) approach relying on Alternative Testing Strategy (ATS) to inform context –specific decisions about risk from exposure to novel nanoscale materials. The goal is to inform the development of guidance for ATS use in overall approaches to those decisions. As such, suitable topics for poster presentations include research on high-throughput techniques, in vitro cell based and cell free assays, WOE or strength-of-evidence approaches to assessing exposure and risk, decision-analytic approaches, regulatory approaches, and challenges to applying ATS for nanoscale materials. We are open to a range of topics related to Alternative Testing Strategies, so please feel free to contact us if you have any questions about your topic.

An author may co-author any number of submissions but may submit only one abstract as presenting author.

This poster session is proudly sponsored by the Society for Risk Analysis Emerging Nanoscale Materials Specialty Group (ENMSG).

Abstract submission deadline: September 1, 2014
Presenters must register for the workshop by September 1, 2014
