National Nanomanufacturing Network: The NSTC (National Science and Technology Council) Interagency Working Group on Manufacturing R&D has named nanomanufacturing one of three critical areas for U.S. high-tech manufacturing in a report released in March, 2008.

"Manufacturing the Future: Federal Priorities for Manufacturing R&D" describes nanomanufacturing as the "vehicle by which the Nation will realize the benefits of nanotechnology." It outlines the current state of Federal R&D nanomanufacturing efforts by agency and application area and details R&D focus areas and challenges.

The National Nanomanufacturing Network and its activities are described as part of the national infrastructure for nanomanufacturing.
