nanosensors
Since 1992, MITRE's Nanosystems Group has been performing broad-based research and development (R&D) in nanotechnology. A unique strength of the group's technical efforts is its focus on systems engineering at the molecular scale.
Led by chief scientist James Ellenbogen and group leader Mark Taczak, the Nanosystems Group conducts research efforts in the following areas:
- Nanoelectronics
- Nano-Enabled Power Systems
- Nanosensors
- Nanoforensics
- Glycobiology
- Millimeter-Scale Robots
- Multi-Scale Modeling
Keithley Instruments, Inc. designs, develops, manufactures and markets complex electronic instruments and systems geared to the specialized needs of electronics manufacturers for high-performance production testing, process monitoring, product development and research. Nanotechnology research is advancing so rapidly that many scientists find that their existing measurement tools simply lack the sensitivity or resolution needed to characterize low level signals effectively. Others are scrambling to keep up with the rapid changes in measurement requirements that new discoveries create.
