Dr. Derek A. Schorzman

Dr. Derek Schorzman is a Principal Process Engineer for Liquidia Technologies, Inc., where he has held various scientific and engineering roles since 2006, and has been a key scientific contributor in the research, development, and implementation of the continuous PRINT® nanoparticle fabrication platform. Prior to joining Liquidia Technologies, Dr. Schorzman spent three years in research and development of biomedical devices for diabetes care and ophthalmic materials, while at Becton Dickinson and Bausch & Lomb, respectively. Dr. Schorzman served a post-doctoral appointment at UNC Chapel Hill, received his Ph.D. in Chemistry from Virginia Commonwealth University, and a B.S. in Chemistry from Utah State University. He holds 18 patents and has authored six publications.
